Job summary

Crane Building Services and Utilities (BSU) is seeking a hands-on Value Stream Supervisor to ensure daily manufacturing plans meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets. You will lead and motivate teams, release work orders, manage stock and coordinate with supply chain to maximize OTD and capacity utilization.

Ideal candidates will have formal management qualifications (NVQ2 in management) and IOSH; experience with Kanban and MRP systems such as QAD will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Formal management qualification is required (level 2 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of safety and health practices with IOSH certification preferred.
• Experience with planning, scheduling and Kanban systems.
• Experience using MRP/ERP tools for production planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate value stream teams to meet targets and 5S standards.
• Plan, release and schedule work orders to satisfy demand and improve OTD.
• Identify and remove roadblocks affecting quality and delivery.
• Analyse root cause and implement corrective actions using SQDCG metrics.
• Maintain inventory control and coordinate with supply chain for material availability.
• Support training and development of direct reports and manage attendance
• Ensure health, safety and compliance with company policies.
