Job summary

T & G Engineering, a long‑established precision subcontract machining company in West Byfleet, is seeking a Head of Operations. You will lead production and support teams, drive safety, quality and on-time delivery, and implement continuous improvement across the site.

You will manage scheduling, process improvements and ERP/MRP utilization to optimise productivity while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing leadership and production management experience.
• Production Planning and Scheduling experience.
• Quality control and ISO Standards proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong people management and coaching skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is essential.
• A passion for engineering and meeting client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop managers, supervisors and office staff to create a smooth-running operation.
• Lead, motivate and manage the shop floor team on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure production schedules are met and customer delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Work with managers and staff on process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in ERP usage and operational systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and ISO standards.
