Job summary

Crane Building Services and Utilities (BS&U) in Hitchin, UK, seeks a Value Stream Supervisor who will plan and release work orders to satisfy demand, and remove roadblocks to ensure on-time, quality delivery.

You will lead teams, drive SQDCG/KPIs, and work with supply chain and engineering to optimise materials, BoM issues, and production scheduling while maintaining 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A formal management qualification at least level 2 NVQ in first line management and supervision.
• Must have a formal qualification in managing safely, I.e. IOSH.
• Must have a good understanding of the work scheduling systems in use (Kanban or MRP).
• Ideally will have a working knowledge of a computer based MRP system such as QAD.

Responsibilities

• To deliver the daily manufacturing plan in line with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth targets.
• Proactively lead and motivate teams to achieve value stream targets while maintaining 5S.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when issues are identified.
• Actively use QAD and other tools to identify and implement productivity improvements.
• Support KPI information on the SQDCG board and drive improvements.
