Utilities Manager at the University of London

The University of London, renowned as the birthplace of long-distance learning, is seeking a Utilities Manager to join their forward-thinking team.

Location: Senate House, Bloomsbury, London

About the Office: The role is based in the iconic Art Deco Senate House, a Grade II* listed building famous in the film industry, with some work from home flexibility.

Team and Reporting: You will work closely with the Estates team and report to the Director of Estates, analyzing data alongside Engineering, Capital Projects, and Sustainability departments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the University's energy and utilities-related matters across a diverse property portfolio.
  2. Handle day-to-day energy management activities across water, electricity, gas, and district heating contracts.
  3. Apply extensive technical knowledge of energy and carbon management to reduce emissions and achieve sustainability targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience in energy management activities related to utilities contracts.
  • Technical expertise in energy and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Strong numeracy, interpersonal, and time management skills.
