Assistant Manager - Projects Finance, Power & Utilities

Base Location: London

The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the fast-growing Power & Utilities Projects team covering water and energy infrastructure including new nuclear generation, onshore and offshore networks, interconnectors, and other major assets.

The Projects business focuses on designing new markets and advising on delivery models for major infrastructure projects and programmes. We advise companies, developers, bidders, and regulators on all aspects of delivering major infrastructure assets and procurements. Our projects include Hinkley Point C, Thames Tideway, DPC projects, OFTOs, SIPR, interconnectors, CATO, and NNPs, primarily for clients in the UK and Europe.

Services include:

  • Strategic and policy advice to stakeholders and government bodies
  • Design of bespoke delivery models, funding, and financing strategies
  • Market analysis and benchmarking
  • Business case preparation
  • Financial advice on infrastructure projects
  • Raising finance and financial modelling
  • Advising bidders on strategy, bid responses, and negotiations

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting project delivery and managing teams
  • Producing high-quality client outputs and presentations
  • Maintaining sector knowledge in P&U
  • Supporting business development activities

What will you need to do it?

Candidates should work well under pressure, have experience in utilities and infrastructure sectors, client relationship skills, and deliver quality outputs.

Skills we'd love to see:

  • Understanding of infrastructure project value drivers, policy, regulation, and market frameworks
  • Knowledge of UK water, energy, or nuclear sectors' regulation
  • Experience with financial structures and project finance
