Job summary

Soho House Mayfair in Central London is seeking a confident Waiter/Waitress to deliver refined, attentive service to our members and guests. You will work closely with floor and kitchen teams to uphold the Club’s standards of professionalism, discretion and excellence.

Your role includes greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience from seating to payment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain composure under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and engage guests on seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, correct orders.
• Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations and wine pairings.
• Maintain top-tier table service and proactively refill water, wine, and beverages.
• Keep environment clean and tables reset; handle special requests with discretion.
• Process payments via card, Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion, especially for VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success through briefings, tastings, and collaboration.
