Job summary

Kirklees College is seeking a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering based at the PMC and Engineering Centre. You will deliver apprenticeship training, provide curriculum support and supervise learners toward Diploma or End Point Assessments.

You should have a relevant industry qualification (or equivalent) and experience supporting apprenticeship programmes, with strong prioritisation, communication and engagement with young people. DBS checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Guide apprentices through the learning journey from sign up to completion.
• Assess progress to knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) following awarding bodies diplomas.
• Support preparation for End Point Assessments (EPAs).
• Assess some work-based skills/knowledge to supplement college delivery.
• Demonstrate our college values of kindness, unity and excellence in the role.
• Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
