Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Trainer / Assessor in Workington to support and develop engineering apprentices. You will manage a caseload of learners, carrying out workplace visits, observations, assessments and progress reviews while collaborating with employers to ensure apprentices achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Industrial experience within the mechanical engineering sector.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required; training can be provided for assessor qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support and assess mechanical engineering apprentices in the workplace.
• Work closely with employers to support learner progress and achievement.
• Monitor apprentice development against qualification and apprenticeship standards.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support throughout the apprenticeship journey.
• Manage a caseload of learners and conduct regular visits and progress reviews.
