A leading manufacturer of CNC machines is seeking a dynamic Control Systems Designer to join the electrical design team in Manchester. This role involves designing advanced control panels and systems, requiring at least five years of experience in control system design. The ideal candidate should have expertise in servo and inverter drives, safety systems, and high-precision measurement technologies. This full-time position offers a 39-hour work week with an early finish on Fridays, providing an excellent opportunity to innovate in automation.
Ensure conformance with customer specification.
Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
Create parts lists (BOM's).
Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.
Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
Provide remote customer support.
Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3 phase power circuits.
24Vdc control circuits.
Machine safety systems.
Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.

The position is based at our manufacturing facility in Hyde, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time-based role. We offer a 39-hour week 7.45am - 4 : 45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.
