Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor for its Belfast manufacturing facility. The role focuses on managing employee relations, addressing grievances and ensuring compliance with UK labour laws and union agreements.

You will drive attendance strategies and support managers in handling sickness absence, with a view to improving metrics and fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Education: CIPD Level 5 or above.
• Experience: delivering employee relations in a unionised manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge: UK labour laws, union agreements and best practices in employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations: act as the primary contact for ER issues, including grievances, disciplinaries and resolution.
• Union liaison: work with representatives to maintain a collaborative relationship on ER concerns.
• Policy implementation: ensure policies follow UK labour laws and union agreements.
• Training and development: run sessions for managers and staff on labour relations and policies.
• Investigations: lead investigations with thorough documentation and fair resolution.
• Reporting: prepare ER activity, trends and outcomes for senior management.
