Job summary

AIG is seeking a Technical Assistant to support underwriting operations in London. You will help monitor and update operational reports, manage documentation, and ensure timely completion of tasks for the UTS Core team.

The role requires strong IT skills, knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market, and a proactive, collaborative approach. You’ll work primarily in the office, contributing to a culture of inclusion and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monitoring and updating of operational reports.
• Responsible for all documentation to be scanned and indexed into the DMS system.
• Ensure timeliness for all tasks (data quality review, peer review, written date, aggregate data entry).
• Ensure data entry aligns with guidelines (endorsements, quotes, promise lines).
• Promptly address items electronically for underwriting teams (electronic trading platforms and email).
• Ensure underwriters resolve contract certainty queries/failures within a timely manner.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and principles.
• Attend and prepare documentation for team meetings (Underwriting and/or UTS).
• Assist with the binder approval process and provide box support at Lloyd’s when required.
• Build and maintain relationships with third party providers and brokers.
• Support the UTS Core team with ad-hoc and general administration duties.
