Job summary

Perspectums Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre seeks an Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team. The role involves performing and reporting diverse ultrasound scans with autonomy, contributing to patient diagnosis and care.

The ideal candidate has NHS experience and holds a PGDip in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent) with HCPC/RCT registration. Strong teamwork and workload management are essential, with open shifts and weekend availability.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ultrasound professional with ability to perform and report scans.
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and manage workload efficiently.
  • NHS experience is preferred and willingness to mentor junior staff.

We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our innovative team at Perspectums Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre, in partnership with the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Trust. You'll be responsible for performing and reporting a variety of ultrasound scans, including gynaecological, general, vascular, abdominal, soft tissue, and small parts imaging. This role offers autonomy, allowing you to conduct unsupervised scans and provide independent reports, playing a crucial part in patient diagnosis and care. You will ensure patients receive exceptional care, from clear communication about procedures to making specialist recommendations and suggesting follow-up actions when necessary. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate sonographer with NHS experience who can work independently and confidently. You should hold a relevant qualification (PGDip in Medical Ultrasound/DMU or equivalent) and be registered with RCT or HCPC. The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and manage your workload efficiently is essential.

    The Diagnostic Centre is open Monday to Sunday 7:30am-7:30pm with weekend shifts paid at an uplifted pay rate.
