Job summary

Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital in Oxford is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our Radiology team on a bank, ad hoc basis. You’ll deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging with a focus on gynae pelvis scans, reporting promptly to support patient care.

You’ll bring a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (HCPC) and a postgraduate diploma/DMU in Medical Ultrasound, plus post-registation ultrasound experience. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential to help the team provide outstanding care

Qualifications

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent per HCPC registration.
• Post-graduate diploma/DMU in Medical Ultrasound.
• Post-registration ultrasound experience including gynae pelvis scanning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging and reporting for a varied caseload.
• Work largely around the gynae service and patients.
• Support the radiology team and promote effective teamwork.

• The role will be largely based around Gynaecology service and patients. What are we looking for in a Sonographer?
• You'll have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Post-Graduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound
• Post registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting to include Gynae pelvis scanning.
• Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance programme will also be an advantage., You'll have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Post-Graduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound, Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance programme will also be an advantage.
