Job summary

Perspectums Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre seeks an Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team. The role involves performing and reporting diverse ultrasound scans with autonomy, contributing to patient diagnosis and care.

The ideal candidate has NHS experience and holds a PGDip in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent) with HCPC/RCT registration. Strong teamwork and workload management are essential, with open shifts and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Qualified ultrasound professional with ability to perform and report scans.
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and manage workload efficiently.
• NHS experience is preferred and willingness to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report a wide range of ultrasound scans (gynaecological, general, vascular, abdominal, soft tissue, small parts).
• Conduct unsupervised scans and provide independent reports.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and make specialist recommendations for follow-up.
