Job summary

Magpie Recruitment seeks an experienced solar/renewable energy sales professional to grow its UK utility-scale project portfolio. You will identify opportunities, build client relationships and manage opportunities from lead to contract, balancing commercial and technical considerations.

You will work with developers, investors and landowners, coordinating bids and tenders while supporting pricing, risk and contract reviews. UK travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or business development within renewable energy.
• Knowledge of utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Experience managing long-term sales cycles and bids.
• Comfort with commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Strong proposal, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK.
• Develop relationships with developers, investors, landowners and key stakeholders.
• Manage existing client accounts and build a strong pipeline of new business.
• Coordinate bids, tenders, pre-qualification questionnaires and invitations to tender.
• Prepare competitive project proposals with technical, legal and commercial colleagues.
• Support pricing, budgeting, negotiations and contract reviews.
• Monitor the sales pipeline and produce forecasts and reports.
• Identify market opportunities and support UK growth strategy.
• Attend client meetings and renewable energy events.
