Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK, ensuring delivery from construction through to completion with a strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.

You will coordinate with internal teams, EPC contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required standards. Regular site visits and travel across the UK will be involved.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within utility-scale solar PV or large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong background in project delivery, ideally from an EPC, construction or engineering environment.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, project controls, budgets, risk and change management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercially aware, with the ability to manage project costs and contractual requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the UK.
• A strong understanding of HSE requirements within construction and renewable energy environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large-scale solar PV projects across the UK.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
• Take ownership of project programmes, budgets, risks, quality and HSE performance.
• Monitor project progress against agreed milestones, identifying and resolving issues where required.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams throughout project delivery.
• Review and manage contractor performance, ensuring contractual and project requirements are met.
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, change control and risk management.
• Lead regular project meetings and provide clear progress updates to senior management.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and project performance.
• Support the resolution of technical, commercial and construction-related issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant UK legislation, standards and company requirements.
• Drive a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across project teams.
