Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting for a UK Payroll Manager near Fareham. The role is a six-month fixed-term contract based in-office with one day per week at home, leading the payroll function for a large organisation.

You will manage a payroll team, ensure timely and compliant UK payroll delivery, and collaborate with HR and Finance to enhance processes while adhering to SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing UK payroll within a large or complex organisation.
• Proven experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day UK payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Manage and develop a payroll team, guiding complex payroll matters.
• Oversee payroll reconciliations, validations and controls and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and Benefits to maintain data integrity and improve processes.
• Support payroll-related projects, audits and reporting requirements.
• Ensure SOX controls and regulatory compliance are met.
