Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll.
• Experience administering workplace pensions, including NEST.
• Confident understanding of HMRC payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to produce clear payroll reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end monthly payroll process across multiple group companies.
• Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Ensure HMRC payroll compliance (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP) and pension requirements.
• Maintain and reconcile payroll records, deductions and benefits.
• Produce payroll reports and management information for leadership.
• Be the primary payroll contact for employees and managers.
• Manage FPS, EPS, P60s and P11Ds submissions.
• Support month-end and year-end audits with reconciliations and documentation.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Support audits and data protection compliance.
