Job summary

Averna Powered by Spherea, a global Test & Quality Solutions leader, seeks an Account Manager for the UK & Ireland to drive new business and nurture long‑term customer relationships.

You will blend technical problem-solving with a consultative sales approach, engaging with world‑leading technology customers across industries and collaborating with pre‑sales teams to close complex deals. Strong English, 8+ years in consultative engineering sales, and willingness to travel up to 60% are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with business mindset.
• 8+ years of consultative sales experience in engineering solutions, ideally with Fortune 500 OEMs.
• Experience in MedTech is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of test & measurement solutions or capital equipment sales is valued.
• Willing to travel up to 60% with driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach the right customers where Averna can make the difference.
• Deeply understand customer needs and position Averna as the partner of choice for mission-critical challenges.
• Develop and execute account strategies for your region, including forecasting and pipeline management (Salesforce).
• Expand customer relationships and penetrate new accounts.
• Work closely with our world-class pre-sales teams (Solution Architects, Proposal Writers, etc.) to win complex deals.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure sustainable business.
• Represent Averna at tradeshows and events (approx. 1 per quarter).
