Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our UK sales team and help generate qualified sales opportunities. You will work with regional sales and marketing to connect with influencers and decision makers within target accounts and execute an account-based sales strategy for the UK.

Your day-to-day includes qualifying leads, managing email campaigns, cold-calling, gathering intelligence, and scheduling demonstrations with the Commercial Sales team.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
• Motivated with a competitive personality and attention to detail.
• Experience in goal-driven environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales-accepted leads; respond to inquiries and convert interest into opportunities.
• Gather actionable intelligence on assigned accounts (competition, projects, purchase intent).
• Manage email campaigns and cold-calling to generate new prospects.
• Schedule demonstrations between the Commercial Sales team and potential customers.
