Job summary

Xero in the UK is seeking a GTM Director for a 12-month parental leave cover to steer strategic go-to-market initiatives across Sales, Marketing and Operations. You will align product and commercial teams, oversee regional programmes and ensure successful launches deliver commercial results.

You’ll lead cross-functional forums, manage the UK GTM roadmap in Asana, and promote AI-enabled execution, while documenting decisions for a seamless handback to the permanent role holder.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership experience driving complex, multi-regional GTM programmes and commercial launches within SaaS or technology environments.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills, with a track record of aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams around shared outcomes.
• Broad commercial acumen combined with comfortable decision-making ability in ambiguous or fast-paced situations.
• Familiarity with modern project portfolio management tools such as Asana or Jira to keep workstreams transparent and organized.
• Curiosity and practical experience using AI tools to boost efficiency, streamline reporting, and improve daily workflows.
• Exceptional communication abilities, suited to synthesizing progress, risks, and recommendations for executive leadership and steering committees.

Responsibilities

• Defining, evolving, and executing the UK GTM strategy and operating model across regional commercial events and regulatory deadlines.
• Leading cross-functional alignment forums across Sales, Marketing, Product, and CX teams to drive shared accountability and clear decision-making.
• Overseeing the UK GTM roadmap using tools like Asana while leveraging AI technology such as Claude to streamline delivery and cross-team communication.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation across all strategic initiatives, relationships, and decisions to prepare for a smooth handback to the permanent role holder.
