Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Manager to partner with the UK go-to-market organisation, leading planning, forecasting and performance analysis to drive growth and efficiency. You will collaborate with UK and Global leaders to turn insights into action, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on financial modelling and scenario planning.

Qualifications

8+ years’ experience in strategic, commercial or GTM finance, FP&A, strategy consulting or investment banking.
Experience partnering with senior GTM, commercial, or regional leaders and influencing decisions through financial analysis.
Strong financial modelling skills, including scenario analysis, investment evaluation and business cases.
Digital and AI fluency: comfortable using data, automation and AI-enabled tools.
Strong performance-analysis skills; identify drivers of results.
Ability to explain complex financial issues clearly and translate into practical options.
Strong commercial judgement and constructive challenge.
Balance strategic thinking with hands-on analytical work.
Nice to have: experience in high-growth tech/SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

Partner with UK GTM and global finance leaders to translate priorities into clear financial plans, targets and trade‑offs.
Lead the UK planning cycle, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts and longer-range planning.
Analyse performance across revenue, cost, productivity and profitability to identify drivers, risks and opportunities.
Build and maintain financial models to support investments, scenario planning and business cases.
Provide clear, practical insight for leaders on financial and operational performance.
Strengthen performance reporting to deliver timely insight for action.
Support decisions on Opex and headcount to keep investments aligned with priorities.
Evaluate opportunities and GTM initiatives with rigorous analysis and clear recommendations.
Improve finance processes, models and reporting for scalability.
Build strong relationships across finance and the business to influence outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve data use, automation and AI-enabled tooling.
