Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead UK fleet operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across transport activities. You will oversee maintenance, driver compliance and fleet performance while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The role offers UK-wide scope, scope to implement telematics and fleet technologies, manage budgets, and lead a team of transport professionals to deliver safe, efficient and compliant

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team/operations management experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport regs and Operator Licences.
• Experience coordinating fleets, suppliers and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all UK fleet and transport operations.
• Ensure compliance with Operator Licence, DVSA regs and Traffic Commissioner guidance.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, MOTs, roadworthiness and defect management.
• Manage fleet performance, utilisation, budgets and efficiency.
• Lead vehicle procurement, replacement programmes and fleet specs.
• Implement telematics and digital fleet solutions for safety and performance.
• Monitor Drivers' Hours, tachographs and CPC/licence checks.
• Manage Transport Managers, suppliers and maintenance providers.
• Produce fleet reports and support audits and inspections.
• Drive continuous improvement across fleet operations.
