Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a Fleet Operational Support Officer to provide detailed compliance, business and finance support to the Fleet and Workshop team. You will liaise with internal services and external bodies such as DVSA and DVLA, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.

You will contribute to service improvements, manage complex cases, and support a broad range of ICT tools across the team in a collaborative, multi-skilled environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level standard or similar.
• Intermediate level computing and application skills.
• Level 4 Administration or finance related qualification.
• IOSH/NEBOSH.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Fleet Operational Support services across the Council.
• Provide an efficient service aligned with Council objectives and statutory regulations for workshop compliance and MOT operations.
• Own resolution of complex activities and projects within the Fleet team.
• Prepare reports for senior management and Councillors.
• Support escalation of service issues and assist managers with investigations.
• Aid design and development of tools and guidance notes to embed best practices.
