Job summary

Identify Talent is seeking a Transport Manager for a UK-based fleet leadership role, based in Hull. You will drive cross-functional coordination to ensure safe, compliant and cost-efficient transport operations across the national fleet.

The role focuses on operator licence governance, vehicle maintenance, driver compliance and audits, with a strong emphasis on safety and service delivery. Excellent knowledge of DVSA rules is essential.

Qualifications

• CPC Transport Manager qualification or eligibility to obtain it.
• Strong knowledge of operator licence obligations and DVSA expectations.
• Experience managing mixed fleets including HGVs, vans and company cars.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance management for all fleet assets including HGVs, vans and company cars.
• Maintain operator licence compliance and ensure fleet meets DVSA and Traffic Commissioner requirements.
• Manage vehicle maintenance planning, inspections and defect reporting.
• Oversee driver compliance including CPC records, medicals and training.
• Lead tachograph and drivers' hours controls, data review and investigations.
• Develop fleet policies, SOPs and audit schedules.
• Provide governance reporting and KPI updates on availability, defects and infringements.
• Coordinate with finance on budgets and cost forecasting.
