Position Overview

As our Manager, you will be a core member of the development team, leading the delivery of renewables development for onshore wind, solar, and battery storage.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the team responsible for growing our onshore renewables pipeline across the UK and progressing new development opportunities.
• Undertake detailed assessments of a site’s renewable development potential, including examining development risks and coordinating EIA and planning submissions.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from conception through to financial close.
• Produce and update project programmes and budgets, and manage internal reporting.
• Appoint and oversee external consultants.
• Manage stakeholder consultations, including presenting projects to consultees, permitting stakeholders, and host communities.
• Stay updated on jurisdictional planning processes, regulations, and policies, and identify risks and opportunities from changes.
• Coordinate engagement with internal teams such as engineering, finance, legal, and O&M.
• Contribute to financial models, identify project benefits, produce investment appraisals, and present success criteria to secure financial investment decisions.

Required Experience

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in renewables development or related disciplines such as environmental or planning.
• Strong understanding of the renewables development process, regulation, and policy, including their evolution.
• Established relationships within the energy industry.
• GIS experience is beneficial.
