Capital One in the UK is seeking a proactive Data Governance professional to bridge data and business, ensuring high-quality, compliant data across the enterprise. The role emphasises governance, stewardship, and stakeholder collaboration to support AI initiatives and strategic decisions.

You will work in a hybrid setup, engaging with Data Owners and Senior Leaders while delivering trusted data assets. This is a pivotal role for enabling data-driven value across the organisation.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of data governance principles and data stewardship across organisations.
• Experience with data glossaries, lineage, and metadata management.
• Understanding of data quality frameworks and data lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in SQL and data tooling within cloud platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the UK data governance focal point, safeguarding data as a corporate asset.
• Coordinate with Data Owners and Senior Leaders on day-to-day data activities.
• Drive data quality improvements and track value delivered to stakeholders.
• Maintain metadata, descriptions, and data lineage, ensuring GDPR and security compliance.
• Engage stakeholders to align data definitions and flag risks to governance committees.
• Influence across teams to foster a data-centric culture and effective communication.
• Translate complex data concepts into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
• Prioritise high-value data tasks to support AI initiatives and strategic goals.
