Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Head of Data Management to lead a team of data stewards and governance professionals in the UK. This permanent, hybrid role can be based in Nottingham or London, with three in-office days (Tuesday–Thursday) and work-from-home on Monday and Friday.

You will drive data quality, policy adherence and risk management to enable data-driven decision making across the organisation. You will collaborate with senior leaders to articulate a compelling data strategy and ensure data

Qualifications

• Experience leading data governance, stewardship and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of policies and data regulation (e.g. GDPR).
• Ability to craft and implement a data management strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 12 responsible for data stewardship and governance.
• Develop data quality frameworks with clear metrics and success criteria.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and enterprise policy requirements.
• Promote data-driven decision making across the organisation.
• Oversee end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion to archiving.
