Capital One UK is seeking a Data Analytics Manager (Individual Contributor) to shape UK data strategy, embed data architecture, governance and business context at the inception of major initiatives. You will drive semantic clarity and build a foundational metadata layer for AI-ready data.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data analysis, data strategy, or data management within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Senior individual contributor with credibility and ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of semantic data modelling, metadata management, and data catalogue principles for AI-ready data ecosystems.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; practical familiarity with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional project teams at inception to establish data requirements, lineage, and governance.
• Capture semantic definitions and conceptual relationships to create an AI-ready data catalogue.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to deliver data solutions such as Reporting, Decisioning, and MI.
• Design, engineer, and promote reusable data services to avoid reinventing data infrastructure.
• Act as a trusted Data voice in executive forums, minimising delivery risk and late-stage rework.
