Job summary

ConSol Partners is seeking a UAV Software Engineer to design, develop and test onboard software for unmanned aerial systems. You will work across autopilot, autonomy, payload and platform subsystems, writing embedded software in C++ and Rust and contributing to simulation and flight-test activities.

The role involves on-site work with hybrid options and security clearance eligibility, focusing on complete UAV platform development from concept to flight testing.

Qualifications

• A technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong C++ and Rust in embedded/real-time environments.
• Experience in UAV/UAS, robotics, autonomy or aerospace.
• Excellent Linux and modern software development skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and debug onboard UAV software.
• Develop embedded software using C++ and/or Rust.
• Work across autopilot, autonomy, payload and platform systems.
• Build robust test and simulation environments (SIL/HIL).
• Help shape software architecture and future platform development.
• Support aircraft integration and flight-test activity.
