Job summary

1st Staff in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Weymouth area who have been out of education. You will deliver personalised tuition in the student’s home and local library, during school hours, with flexible start times. This role offers 2/3 hours per day, 5 days a week, with ASAP start.

DBS disclosure is required and safeguarding is emphasised. Part-time and full-time opportunities exist with ongoing specialist support from Maths, English and Behavioural

Qualifications

  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH students and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to deliver core subjects tailored to individual needs.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Own transport beneficial but not essential.

1:1 Tutor – Weymouth Area

In‑Home Tuition – up to £30 per hour – flexible hours – immediate start.

Are you passionate about helping young people rediscover their confidence in learning? 1st Staff are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Weymouth area who have been out of education for a period of time. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping students rebuild their confidence, develop key skills, and work towards recognised qualifications, with the potential to return to mainstream or further education.

The Role

You will deliver personalised tuition sessions in the student's home, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
