Job summary

1st Staff are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Southwark area who have been out of education for a period of time. You will deliver personalised tuition sessions in the student's home, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.

Hours are 2/3 per day, 5 days per week, with immediate start. Excellent pay up to £30 per hour and flexible part-time or full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN/SEMH students and managing challenging behaviours.
• Ability to deliver core subjects tailored to individual needs.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Own transport beneficial but not essential.

1st Staff are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Southwark area who have been out of education for a period of time. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping students rebuild their confidence, develop key skills, and work towards recognised qualifications — with the potential to return to mainstream or further education.

Role

You will deliver personalised tuition sessions in the student's home, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.
