Job summary

1st Staff is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Shaftesbury area who have been out of education. You will deliver personalised tuition sessions in the student’s home or local library, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.

The role offers flexible hours (2–3 hours per day, 5 days a week) with immediate start and potential for additional hours. Experience with SEN/SEMH and strong communication are essential.

1st Staff are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Shaftesbury area who have been out of education for a period of time. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping students rebuild their confidence, develop key skills, and work towards recognised qualifications — with the potential to return to mainstream or further education.

The Role

You will deliver personalised tuition sessions in the student's home, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.
