Job summary

SEND Tutor position with Powertutors UK provides personalised, one-to-one support for children with additional learning needs, delivering lessons tailored to each pupil's strengths and goals in a flexible, term-time role.

You will adapt to EHCP objectives where applicable, build strong relationships with families, and support learners who struggle to access a mainstream classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other learning differences.
• Ability to adapt teaching approach to individual learning styles.
• Excellent communication with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one tutoring tailored to each pupil's strengths, challenges and objectives.
• Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with EHCP where applicable.
• Support learners who are unable to access a mainstream classroom setting.

About the Role

As a SEND Tutor, you'll provide personalised, one-to one support for children with additional learning needs, helping them achieve their educational goals in a positive and encouraging environment.

• Delivering individual tuition tailored to each pupil's strengths, challenges and learning objectives.
• Creating and adapting lesson plans that align with each child's individual needs and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), where applicable.
• Supporting learners who are unable to access a mainstream classroom setting.

About you

We're looking for tutors who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with

additional needs.

• Have experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other learning differences.
• Be able to adapt your teaching approach to suit each individual's preferred learning style.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and their families through excellent communication skills.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have previous tutoring experience, or possess relevant experience within an educational setting (preferred but not essential).

• £25–£35 per hour - Term-time only
