Job summary

Powertutors Ltd is seeking a SEN Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one tuition across Surrey. You will deliver tailored lessons, adapt materials to individual goals and support learners with additional needs to build confidence and academic progress.

Role requires right to work in the UK and a Full UK Driving Licence; term-time only work and local placements are available to fit around commitments. Competitive pay and ongoing briefing are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or dyslexia.
• Ability to tailor teaching strategies to individual learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate and committed to learner support.
• QTS or relevant educational experience is desirable but not essential.
• Proactive with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition tailored to each learner's needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons in line with learning goals and EHCPs where appropriate.
• Support children who are unable to attend or access mainstream education
• Monitor learner progress and adapt teaching methods to maximise outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with learners, families and professionals.
• Encourage confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

About the Role

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, compassionate and committed to delivering outstanding learner support
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), previous tutoring experience or relevant educational experience is desirable but not essential
• A proactive approach with excellent organisational and time management skills
