Job summary

Powertutors UK is seeking SEND Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one support for children with additional learning needs, helping them achieve educational goals in a positive environment.

You will deliver tailored tuition, adapt lesson plans to EHCPs where applicable, and support learners who cannot access a mainstream classroom. Experience with SEN, adaptable teaching styles, and strong communication with pupils and families are valued.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other learning differences.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approach to individual learning styles.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and families through excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one tuition tailored to each pupil's strengths, challenges and objectives.
  • Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with each pupil's EHCP where applicable.
  • Support learners who are unable to access a mainstream classroom setting.

About the Role

As a SEND Tutor, you'll provide personalised, one-to-one support for children with additional learning needs, helping them achieve their educational goals in a positive and encouraging environment.

  • Delivering individual tuition tailored to each pupil's strengths, challenges and learning objectives.
  • Creating and adapting lesson plans that align with each child's individual needs and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), where applicable.
  • Supporting learners who are unable to access a mainstream classroom setting.
About you

We're looking for tutors who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with

additional needs.

  • Have experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other learning differences.
  • Be able to adapt your teaching approach to suit each individual's preferred learning style.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and their families through excellent communication skills.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have previous tutoring experience, or possess relevant experience within an educational setting (preferred but not essential).
