Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged learners across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities, delivering tailored sessions to help children access learning and build confidence.

Role offers flexible hours, a September start, and competitive rates of £25-£30 per hour for locally travel within Hampshire, with DBS checked preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring or teaching.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children and delivering engaging sessions.
• Good understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculum; DBS on Update Service desirable.

We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a lasting impact during an important stage of their educational journey.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged children
• Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• SEN experience desirable
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire
