Job summary

Powertutors in Andover is seeking a SEND Tutor to provide one-to-one support for children with SEND, helping them access education and grow in confidence. You will work with families and local authorities to tailor learning plans that fit each student’s needs, aligning with development goals and safeguarding the child.

The role emphasises empathetic, reliable practice with minimal admin, DBS checked, prior experience as Tutor/SEN TA or similar is welcomed, and a commitment to inclusive

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
  • Background as a Tutor, SEN Teacher or High Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.

SEND Tutor

At Powertutors we provide support for children and their families ensuring continuing educational access for children unable to attend mainstream schools. Working with the local authority, we match tutors with students requiring support - ensuring both a professional and pastoral fit ensuring goals for development are identified and supporting tutors to ensure quality throughout our services.

You’ll work with students on a one-to-one basis in Andover, providing tailored support that helps them grow in confidence and thrive in their learning. Whether you’re an experienced SEND Teacher, High Level Teaching Assistant or Tutor, this flexible and rewarding role lets you make a real difference — on your schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Work on a one-to-one basis to help students grow in confidence.
  • Deliver meaningful and personalised education.
  • Focus on teaching with minimal administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
  • Background as a Tutor, SEN Teacher or High Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS (or happy to apply for one).
