Job summary

Teaching Personnel’s TP Tutors is seeking experienced 1:1 tutors for Primary and Secondary students across Norwich and surrounding areas. You will deliver English, Maths, and core curriculum sessions in students' homes or school settings, tailoring content to individual needs and UK National Curriculum.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have UK DBS update, right to work in the UK, and enjoy flexible daytime hours.

Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication, patience, and a flexible, nurturing approach.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) and the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Travel between tuition locations is desirable due to varied tutoring sites.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons in English, Maths, and core curriculum subjects aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Support vulnerable learners and students requiring targeted intervention.
  • Track academic and personal progress, completing detailed session logs after every class.

Location: Norwich and surrounding Norwich areas

Hours: Flexible, Part-time (Monday to Friday, school hours)

Pay Rate: Competitive (dependent on assignment and Local Authority)

TP Tutors is looking for experienced Primary and Secondary 1:1 Tutors to deliver personalised educational support to students in homes or school settings across Norwich and surrounding Norwich areas. This role focuses on helping pupils who may be out of mainstream education, require academic intervention, or have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) / Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons in English, Maths, and core curriculum subjects aligned with the UK National Curriculum.

  • Support vulnerable learners and students requiring targeted intervention.

  • Track academic and personal progress, completing detailed session logs after every class.

  • Work collaboratively with schools, Local Authorities, and families to achieve positive outcomes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
