Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors for dedicated support to pupils across the CB6 area. You will deliver tailored tuition in pupils' homes or school settings, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.

With a focus on children who may have special educational needs or may be out of mainstream education, this role offers competitive hourly pay rates, flexible working hours, and an opportunity to make a significant difference in young people's lives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years' teaching experience within a school or educational setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable.

  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Are you an experienced teacher looking for a rewarding role outside the traditional classroom?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is recruiting dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the CB6 area. Tuition sessions are delivered in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours, providing tailored academic support to help young people achieve their full potential.

This role is ideal for experienced educators who are passionate about delivering personalised learning to pupils who may be out of mainstream education, have SEND, SEMH needs, or require additional support to re‑engage with learning.

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Support pupils in building confidence, improving attainment, and developing a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress after each session.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and local authorities.
  • Maintain accurate session records and provide regular feedback.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A minimum of two years' teaching experience within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs.
  • A patient, flexible, and compassionate approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel between tuition locations.
