Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking dedicated tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition for children and young people in the CB6 Ely area. Sessions occur in pupils' homes, schools, and other settings during school hours, supporting learners needing extra academic help, exam prep or SEND provision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Knowledge of Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND education.
• Strong lesson planning, assessment, communication, and behaviour management skills.

TP Tutors is seeking dedicated and experienced tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition for children and young people across the CB6 postcode area. Tuition takes place in pupils' homes, schools, and alternative education settings during school hours, supporting learners who need additional academic support, exam preparation, or specialist SEND provision.

The Role

As a Tutor, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet each learner's individual needs, helping them develop confidence, strengthen key skills, and achieve their educational goals.

You may work with learners across Primary and Secondary education, including GCSE, Functional Skills, Alternative Provision, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Every learner is different, so you'll adapt your teaching style to suit a range of abilities, learning styles, and educational needs.

Subjects

We welcome applications from tutors who can teach one or more of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Literacy and Numeracy, Functional Skills, Primary Curriculum, GCSE subjects, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, Computing, Creative Arts, and other National Curriculum subjects.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Knowledge of Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND education.
• Strong lesson planning, assessment, communication, and behaviour management skills.
• Reliable travel access across the CB6 area.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
• QTS, PGCE, or other recognised teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Desirable Experience

• Supporting learners with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, and SLCN.
• Experience with EHCPs and SEND support.
• Experience in Alternative Provision and home tuition.

Location

This role covers tuition assignments throughout the CB6 postcode area of Ely. Tutors must be able to travel reliably to pupils' homes, schools, and alternative education settings during school hours (Monday to Friday).
