Job summary

Omexom in the United Kingdom is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site delivery of electrical substation projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time performance. You will manage construction, maintenance and wiring of substation plant while coordinating with the Project Manager and site teams.

The role requires at least 5 years' DNO substation/OHL experience (11–400 kV), strong leadership, and a proven ability to drive risk assessments and CDM compliance across multiple worksites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience on DNO substation / OHL sites (11–400 kV).
• Proven site management track record with real‑time task execution.
• Strong H&S knowledge and risk assessment capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site management of projects and daily delivery of works.
• Oversee construction, maintenance, fitting and wiring of substation plant.
• Plan site activities to maintain safety, cost and quality.
• Ensure compliance with design documents, RAMS and lift plans.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to deliver projects successfully.
• Produce weekly reports detailing progress and planning.
