Job summary

PortmanDentex in Derby seeks a patient-centred Treatment Coordinator with some Dental Nursing duties to support our 8-surgery Cosmetic White Smiles practice. You will act as a bridge between clinical and front-of-house teams and help explain treatment plans in clear, non-clinical language.

The role is part-time (31 hours over 4 days) with a competitive £13.57 per hour, free parking, and join a friendly multi-disciplinary team delivering high-end cosmetic dentistry.

Qualifications

• GDC registered Dental Nurse
• Experience as Treatment Coordinator, Patient Care Advisor or Dental Nurse preferred
• Sales experience from customer-facing environment welcomed if no dental background

We have an exciting opportunity for a patient centred Treatment Coordinator to provide support to our 8‑surgery award‑winning practice, Cosmetic White Smiles in Derby.

In this blended role, the incumbent will primarily act as a Treatment Coordinator with some Dental Nursing duties. Candidates must be GDC registered.

The Essentials

• Part‑time: 31 hours over 4 days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 8:45 am – 5:30 pm)
• Competitive salary: £13.57 per hour (in line with experience)

Duties

• Act as a bridge between clinical and front‑of‑house teams
• Contribute to practice growth and performance targets
• Explain treatment plans clearly in simple, non‑clinical language
• Build rapport and trust with patients
• Handle objections confidently and professionally
• Understand dental procedures and terminology
• Explain complex treatments (e.g. implants, orthodontics) in patient‑friendly terms
• Interpret clinician notes and translate them into patient‑friendly information
• Coordinate multi‑stage treatment journeys
• Perform Dental Nursing duties

About You

• You are a GDC registered Dental Nurse
• Previous experience as a Treatment Coordinator, Patient Care Advisor or Dental Nurse – we also welcome applicants with sales experience from a customer‑facing environment
• You have a caring and empathetic approach with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• You are a team player who thrives on delivering exceptional patient care and service
