Calder Vets is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team in Dewsbury. You will warmly welcome clients and their pets, weigh animals, manage appointments and procedures, and handle inquiries by phone and email.

The role involves proactive communication with colleagues, administration duties, and processing prescriptions. Experience in customer-facing roles is essential; driving licence required for covering other sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a customer-facing role.
• Driving licence required for covering at other sites.
• Veterinary experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner.
• Weighing pets.
• Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures.
• Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone.
• Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly.
• Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.
• Processing prescription requests.
• Taking payments.
• Promoting offers and services.
• Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked.
• Covering sites for annual leave and sickness.
