Job summary

Currency Exchange Corporation (CEC), part of the Fexco Group, is recruiting for a Travel Money Advisor at Sainsburys in Tonbridge. This permanent part-time role averages 20 hours per week, with a mix of mornings and afternoons and some weekends on a rotating schedule.

Overtime to cover holidays and other stores may be available. You will work mainly alone in-store, handling travel money services, cash, and customer inquiries, with a supportive team backing your success and great benefits on

Qualifications

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience ideally obtained in a cash handling environment.
• Experience of working with foreign currencies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and delivering customer requirements, meeting and exceeding their needs and maximising sales
• Achieving and where possible exceeding individual and team sales and service targets
• Identifying opportunities to cross sell various products and services
• Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation
• Ensuring the store meets all operational standards and the highest levels of presentation are always maintained
• Adhering to all Company Policies including Health and Safety, AML and Security
• Dealing professionally and knowledgably with all customer complaints/queries ensuring a satisfactory conclusion is met
• Ensuring telephone calls are answered in a prompt, polite and professional manner
• Undertake marketing initiatives, to promote the Bureau and increase brand awareness
• Ensuring all point of sale and company material is displayed correctly and in working order
• Completing Opening and Closing procedures

We are now recruiting for a Travel Money Advisor in Sainsburys - Tonbridge

This is a permanent part-time role working on average 20 hours per week. You will need to be flexible across the working week, be available for a mixture of mornings and afternoons, and you will be required to work some weekends, with a rota that is shared in advance. Overtime to cover holidays and other local stores may be available from time to time.

We offer a competitive salary, paying £13.23 per hour, and great benefits. Most shifts you will be the lone Advisor in the store so you have to be comfortable completing opening and closing procedures, but there is a passionate and friendly team who genuinely care about the success of our business, always available to support you.

Main Responsibilities

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience ideally obtained in a cash handling environment
• Experience of working with foreign currencies is preferred

• Numerate, with excellent accuracy and an eye for detail
• Comfortable communicating on all levels including within the business and to external customers and suppliers
