Job summary

Fexco Group is recruiting a Travel Money Advisor for Sainsbury's Peterborough. This fixed-term, part-time role offers 19 hours per week on average until October 2027, with weekend work and flexible shifts across mornings and afternoons.

You will work largely alone in-store, handling cash, meeting customer needs, and promoting bureau services at £14.54 per hour, with a supportive team and clear POS and AML procedures.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience, ideally in a cash handling environment.
• Experience with foreign currencies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver customer requirements, meeting and exceeding their needs and maximising sales
• Achieve and where possible exceed individual and team sales and service targets
• Identify opportunities to cross sell various products and services
• Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation
• Ensure the store meets all operational standards and the highest levels of presentation
• Adhere to all Company Policies including Health and Safety, AML and Security
• Deal professionally with customer queries ensuring satisfactory conclusions
• Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally
• Undertake marketing initiatives to promote the Bureau and increase brand awareness
• Ensure all POS and company materials are displayed correctly

We are now recruiting for a Travel Money Advisor in Sainsbury's Peterborough

This is a fixed term part-time role working on average 19 hours per week until October 2027. You will need to be flexible across the working week, be able to for a mixture of mornings and afternoons, and you will be required to work some weekends, with a rota that is shared in advance. Overtime to cover holidays and other local stores may be available from time to time.

We offer a competitive salary, paying £14.54 per hour, and great benefits. Most shifts you will be the lone Advisor in the store, but there is a passionate and friendly team who genuinely care about the success of our business, always available to support you.

Main Responsibilities

Working primarily alone in the store, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Identifying and delivering customer requirements, meeting and exceeding their needs and maximising sales

• Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation

• Adhering to all Company Policies including Health and Safety, AML and Security
• Dealing professionally and knowledgably with all customer complaints/queries ensuring a satisfactory conclusion is met
• Ensuring telephone calls are answered in a prompt, polite and professional manner
• Undertake marketing initiatives, to promote the Bureau and increase brand awareness
• Ensuring all point of sale and company material is displayed correctly and in working order

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience ideally obtained in a cash handling environment
• Experience of working with foreign currencies is preferred

• Demonstrable superior customer service skills
• Numerate, with excellent accuracy and an eye for detail
• Comfortable communicating on all levels including within the business and to external customers and suppliers
• Must be flexible and have a can-do attitude and approach
