Job summary

Fexco Group is recruiting a Travel Money Advisor for Sainsbury's Ripley. This fixed-term, part-time role averages 20 hours per week until October 2027, with a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and some weekends, on a rota shared in advance. Overtime may be available to cover holidays and other local stores.

You will work primarily alone in-store, delivering excellent customer service while handling cash, and supporting the store's sales and brand awareness goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience, ideally in cash handling.
• Experience of working with foreign currencies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working primarily alone in the store, identify and meet customer requirements and maximise sales.
• Achieve and where possible exceed individual and team sales and service targets.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services.
• Handle cash accurately and reconcile till performed.
• Ensure the store meets operational standards and is well presented at all times.
• Adhere to Company Policies including Health and Safety, AML and Security.
• Address customer complaints professionally to a satisfactory resolution.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously.
• Undertake marketing initiatives to promote the Bureau and increase brand awareness.
• Ensure POS materials are displayed correctly and functioning.

We are now recruiting for a Travel Money Advisor in Sainsbury's Ripley

This is a fixed term part-time role working on average 20 hours per week until October 2027. You will need to be flexible across the working week, be able to for a mixture of mornings and afternoons, and you will be required to work some weekends, with a rota that is shared in advance. Overtime to cover holidays and other local stores may be available from time to time.

We offer a competitive salary, paying £13.23 per hour, and great benefits. Most shifts you will be the lone Advisor in the store, but there is a passionate and friendly team who genuinely care about the success of our business, always available to support you.

Main Responsibilities

Working primarily alone in the store, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Identifying and delivering customer requirements, meeting and exceeding their needs and maximising sales
• Achieving and where possible exceeding individual and team sales and service targets
• Identifying opportunities to cross sell various products and services
• Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation
• Ensuring the store meets all operational standards and the highest levels of presentation are always maintained
• Adhering to all Company Policies including Health and Safety, AML and Security
• Dealing professionally and knowledgably with all customer complaints/queries ensuring a satisfactory conclusion is met
• Ensuring telephone calls are answered in a prompt, polite and professional manner
• Undertake marketing initiatives, to promote the Bureau and increase brand awareness
• Ensuring all point of sale and company material is displayed correctly and in working order

Qualifications and Experience required

• Demonstrable excellent customer service experience ideally obtained in a cash handling environment
• Experience of working with foreign currencies is preferred
