Job summary

Rockpool Recruitment, on behalf of a specialist tour operator, is seeking a Travel Specialist to design tailor-made and package holidays across Scandinavia, Iceland and polar regions. Hybrid Surrey based with ownership of your sales pipeline.

You will manage enquiries from first contact through to completion, build bespoke itineraries, and work with suppliers and the Customer Experience team to ensure a seamless booking journey and strong commercial results.

Qualifications

• Previous travel sales experience (tailor-made or package holidays).
• Proven ability to convert enquiries and generate revenue.
• Confidence in upselling and cross-selling in a customer-focused way.
• Strong listening skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple bookings.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commercial awareness and comfort working toward targets.
• Knowledge of Amadeus would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle enquiries from first contact through to completion.

• Act as the main point of contact throughout the booking journey.
• Proactively follow up leads to convert enquiries into bookings.
• Recommend additional services and upgrades to enhance the experience and revenue.
• Produce accurate quotes, confirmations and travel documents.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal colleagues.
• Work closely with the Customer Experience team for smooth handover after bookings are confirmed.

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist tour operator who create tailor‑made and package holidays across Scandinavia, Iceland and surrounding regions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced travel sales professional to join their team, designing inspiring journeys while driving strong commercial results.

Travel Specialist – What will I be doing
