Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group is seeking an experienced Supported Housing Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of YMCA Basingstoke, line-manage staff and volunteers, and ensure high-quality support planning for residents. You will champion trauma-informed practice and drive improvements in wellbeing and independence for members.

• Experience managing within youth, adult or community-based service.
• Experience with complex needs.
• Experience leading and developing staff and volunteers.
• Experience working within housing, support or community environments.
• Experience managing challenging situations professionally and positively.
• Experience working with partner agencies and external stakeholders.
• Delivering person-centred support that promotes independence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of YMCA Basingstoke.
• Line manage, support and develop a team of staff and volunteers.
• Ensure high-quality support planning, assessments and interventions are in place.
• Champion trauma-informed practice and wellbeing approaches.
• Support residents to access employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities.
• Act as an advocate for members and work with partner agencies.
• Develop community-focused activities and opportunities that promote wellbeing and engagement.
• Oversee accommodation allocations, inductions and resident onboarding.
• Lead on anti-social behaviour investigations and welfare concerns.
• Manage service-level complaints and ensure timely resolutions.
• Support rent account management and debt recovery processes.
• Ensure health and safety, compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
• Drive high-quality void management and property turnaround.
• Participate in a duty management rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
