Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker to provide trauma-informed support to female survivors across accommodation and community services in Brecon. The role is 35 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.46 per hour and a Monday to Friday pattern.

You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans, assist clients with housing, benefits and healthcare, manage a caseload, and work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or families.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and safeguarding.
• Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse
• Complete risk and needs assessments and develop support plans
• Support clients to access housing, benefits, healthcare and other services
• Manage a caseload and provide community outreach support
• Deliver recovery-focused interventions and programmes
• Work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities
